Recent Dedications
Younkers Lab
Before his passing on Oct. 21, 2023, (see In Memoriam) Russell Younkers '68 and his wife, Penny, provided funding to name the Debriefing Room and Skills Lab in the Nursing Department located in the new Education & Health Sciences Center. The dedication was made in memory of Russ’ mother, Mary F. Younkers, R.N.
Theta Delta Pi Room
The sisters of Theta Delta Pi worked together to provide funding to name a room in the new Education & Health Sciences Center. This funding will be used to support the Department of Educational Professions. Theta Delta Pi continues to support their alma mater through an effort to honor their sisters on the Wall of Recognition in Bobcat Stadium and the Theta Delta Pi Legacy Scholarship.
Cordts Garden
Members of the Cordts family gathered to plant daffodils in memory of their mother, Jeanne. Jeanne had quite the green thumb and was especially known for her daffodils! When she passed away in October 2022, her family asked for memorial gifts to support a daffodil garden on campus. The garden sits just near the Harold J. Cordts Physical Education Center, named for Jeanne's late husband.
