Our four-year undergraduate programs combine the university's great resources with a robust coverage of both traditional and emerging areas of engineering to produce graduates ready to excel in today's diverse and fast-changing environment.

Engineering Program Highlights

  • The Mechanical Engineering Frostburg Collaborative program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, under the General Criteria and the Mechanical Engineering Program Criteria.

  • The General Engineering program is accredited by the  Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET under the General Criteria.

  • Use state-of-the-art technology in the Compton Science Center, such as the additive manufacturing 3D print lab, robotics lab, materials testing lab, computational engineering workstations, and many other great resources.

  • Develop leadership skills by joining engineering clubs such as The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and The National Society of Black Engineers and take part in volunteer and outreach events with fellow students.

  • Gain real-world experience with the technology you'll use in your career through an internship or FSU work-study as a lab assistant.
